Four baby comforters gifts for babies embroidered with baby names.

Deciding What Font Is Best For You

One Little Day has four attractive fonts available for embroidery: Brush Script, Alex Brush, Micro block and Curls. We understand that choosing a font can sometimes be difficult or even confusing. Ultimately it comes down to personal preference but other things to consider are name length and readability. Below you will find information about each font and other advice to help you decide.

Brush Script

Brush Script font has been made to look like it was created with a brush. It has a clean, hand-written look, with all the lowercase letters connected. It’s smooth, graceful and classic.

For a whole baby name, capital letters and Brush Script do not pair well together. The design takes up more space, resulting in the embroidery being much smaller than the examples you can see on our website and social media. This is more in regards to baby shoes however, as the embroidery as there is less embroidery space on the shoes.

Alex Brush

Alex Brush is very similar to Brush Script. They are both made to look like brush strokes and the lower case letters are connected. Alex Brush is an elegant, flowing font in an italic style. It is very aesthetically pleasing and has excellent readability. It also does not go well with capital letters.

Micro Block

If you are seeking a font that is simple and easy to read, micro block is an excellent choice. This font is thick and bold and looks fantastic in capital letters. It’s a popular font chosen for baby boy gifts and looks excellent in capital letters.

Curls

Curls is a lively font which has letters that begin and end in coils or spirals. Its letters are also thick and bold. Due to its curly and fun style, this font is a popular choice for baby girl gifts. Capital letters are not recommended for this font.

Uncommon characters, accents and other languages

For names that include special characters and accents, the text that appears in the text box when you enter the name is not correct. Some characters do not fit automatically into the font and it may look like the letter has changed. When we do the embroidery however, the letter and accent is manually entered so that all letters are the same. We can do most languages however, it is best to email us to confirm if we can do the embroidery. info@onelittleday.com.au
